FAQs

How does the rent need to be paid, weekly or monthly?

The rent for the properties can be paid either weekly or monthly but must be paid in advance. We advise tenants to pay their rent how they receive their wage. I.e weekly or monthly pay.

How can I put my notice in?

Your notice must be put in before you leave the property – this is to allow us adequate time to rent the room once you have left. You will need to check your Tenancy Agreement to be sure of how much notice you need to give.

Your notice must be provided via email to:
Notice@bespoke-lettingsltd.co.uk

Why do I need to be referenced and what does it involve?

This is purely so the Landlord can be sure that the tenant wont have any problems paying their rent and the tenant will ensure the property is kept in a good state. The referencing is nothing major, this would just provide proof of employment and funds available to pay the rent.

Can you accommodate my pets?

No, unfortunately we can not currently accommodate any pets in any of our properties.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Great question! No, you don’t have to pay a deposit! We only require the first two weeks rent or the first months rent, depending on if you wish to pay for the room weekly or monthly!

What is actually included in the room?

All bills are paid for (including Wifi), all furniture in your room, kitchen and living area’s are provided, even cutlery, plates and mugs!

The only things you’ll need to bring with you are your clothes and your bedding.

Why do you take an inventory?

We do an inventory to protect, both, ourselves and, you, the tenant.

We are checking the condition of the room and communal areas, including what furniture and decorations have been placed in the rooms. This minimises any issues for you upon the end of your tenancy and allows us to ensure our property stays safe and ready to rent again for the next tenant!

What is the tenancy agreement?

The tenancy agreement is made between yourselves and our company. It details what we can expect from each other over the tenancy period.

It will include things like the start date, earliest leaving date, and what you can and can’t do with the room.

It’s nothing to worry about, if you’re confused or unsure we actively encourage you to ask us!

What happens to my rent payments at the end of the tenancy?

If you pay via standing order, you must cancel this yourself – we can not do it for you.

Can the landlord or letting agent enter the property?

Yes, the landlord and agent managing the property can enter the building, but we will give you 24 hours notice at minimum. The only exception to this is in case of emergency.

How do I report repairs?

We have a repair section here on the website. However if it is urgent, please feel free to contact us directly on 01302969056

We have manned phone lines during the day, and an out of hours line that can be reached through the same number.
